the audacity!

I am right now in the process of making my new blog look more homely. One of the important things to have, I thought, was a way to show which book I’m currently reading. Enter Shelfari: this rather cool site that helps you compile, rate, review, recommend the books you’ve read and want to read. They all appear in this wooden shelf image thing, hence the name.

But no. Apparently Shelfari and WordPress need to first sort out some marital issues before we can add pretty bookshelves to our websites.

No matter. I am currently reading (and rather enjoying) Ngugi wa Thiong’o’s Decolonising the Mind: The Politics of Language in African Literature. It’s a small book – 150 pages approx.- and I would have finished it by now, were it not for random trips to Entebbe at 3am on Friday nights with insane and slightly inebriated friends 🙂
